徐闻地处中国大陆最南端，三面海洋环绕，四季阳光灿烂，热带季风长年吹拂。万年火山喷发带来的富硒红土，年均2078.7小时的日照，温暖湿润的春雾，孕育出格外香甜的菠萝。徐闻菠萝因此成为中国地理标志保护产品，入选中国名特优新农产品名录。
At the southernmost point of the Chinese mainland bordered on three sides by the ocean, Xuwen enjoys year-round sunshine and tropical monsoons. Its selenium-rich red earth that was deposited by past volcanic eruptions, an annual average of 2,078.7 hours of sunshine, and warm moisture in spring allow for the cultivation of the sweetest and most succulent pineapples. Xuwen pineapple has been acknowledged as China’s products of geographical indications (GI) and included in the Chinese List of Distinct Agricultural Products of National Fame.
天下三分菠萝果，一分甜蜜是徐闻。徐闻菠萝年产量超70万吨，中国每3个菠萝就有1个来自这个热带火山半岛。连片种植面积达35万亩的广袤菠萝种植园，是中国大地最美的图画之一，也是东亚大陆罕有的壮美景观。
One out of three pineapples in China comes from this tropical peninsula. It boasts an annual production of over 700,000 tons of pineapples and a plantation area of about 350,000 mu (nearly 23,334 hectares), forming one of the most exceptional landscapes on the East Asian continent.
徐闻菠萝是广东省最早上市的最大宗农产品。销好徐闻菠萝，能让广东农产品跑好“第一棒”，实现“开门红”，意义重大。多年来，在广东省委、省政府和省农业农村厅的指导支持下，徐闻锐意创新探索，让这片红土地成为广东农产品“12221”市场体系的策源地。
As one of the earliest staple agricultural products in Guangdong Province, Xuwen’s sales of pineapples in the first quarter have always been critical to the sales of other agricultural products, to which every farmer has exacted daily painstaking efforts. Supported for numerous years by the CPC Guangdong Provincial Committee, the Guangdong government and its Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, the Xuwen government and Xuwen people have succeeded as pioneers in building the 12221 market system into an effective platform for marketing agricultural products, which has recently spread to more cities.
